Hermes 75: One Year of Fleet Operations

1 September 20245 min read

One year ago, we deployed the Hermes 75 into its first fleet operation. The results exceeded our projections, and our fleet partners' expectations.

The Numbers

Across three fleet deployments totaling 45 vehicles, the Hermes 75 delivered:

  • Operating cost reduction: 42% lower than petrol equivalent fleets
  • Uptime: 97.3% average vehicle availability
  • Maintenance cost: Rs 1,200/vehicle/month vs Rs 3,500 for petrol equivalents
  • Daily range utilization: Average 85 km/day out of 120 km capacity
  • Zero major breakdowns across the fleet

What Fleet Operators Say

The most common feedback isn't about cost savings; it's about predictability. Fleet operators know exactly what each vehicle costs per km, every day. No fuel price fluctuations. No surprise maintenance bills. No emissions compliance concerns.

Payload Performance

The Hermes 75 handles a 155 kg payload without noticeable performance degradation. Riders report the vehicle feels stable and confident even when fully loaded.

Charging Operations

Most fleet partners charge overnight at their hubs. A full charge takes 3-4 hours from a standard 15A socket. No special infrastructure required. Some larger operations have set up dedicated charging stations, but it's not necessary.

Looking Ahead

Based on first-year data, we're developing fleet-specific firmware updates that optimize battery management for high-utilization patterns. We're also working with partners on a fleet management dashboard that provides real-time vehicle health and utilization data.
